Live as Wappy Springs Inn in Huddersfield on fire with crews battling flames at iconic pub
An iconic Huddersfield pub which has been abandoned for a number of years is on fire.
Fire crews are at the Wappy Springs Inn on Lindley Moor Road in Outlane, Huddersfield, and pictures show smoke billowing from the roof. The pub has been derelict for a number of years with planning applications to turn the site into offices or housing in the pipeline.
It is not clear what has caused the fire but we will contact West Yorkshire Police and West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and bring you updates as and when we have them.
